Hi there! I'm Marissa, and I'm thrilled to share some exciting changes happening in my life. The most significant one? I'm diving headfirst into my passion as a full-time artist! 🎨✨

I'm doing this now because I can't fight the urge any longer. The urge to "bet on myself." As a mom with two young boys, I want them to see me pursue my dreams. My youngest has complex medical needs so in between therapies and specialists appointments, being a full-time artist affords me the flexibility to be where it matters most.

Special shoutout to my boys, Quinn & Sully. Another exciting change? My youngest, Sully was just decanulated, which means his trach was removed. He now breathes on his own using a nasal cannula. And it's one of the many achievements he's had in his almost 3 years with us. My boys show me what resilience is. They show me what empathy means. I'm excited to continue bringing this energy in to the work I make.

I've started this blog to offer more behind-the-scenes insights into a new crowdfunding initiative I'm launching called Creative Support. Based on the level you select, the more you'll receive. People often ask how they can support me as an artist. My first suggestion is "purchase my work!" but now there's another option: "support my artistic journey!"

Let's break it down. I have three levels in Creative Support:

1. Glue Crew- $5/Month- this is for the folks who want to cheer me on and have some behind-the scenes access.

2. Pep Talk Patron- $15/Month- this is for anyone excited about receiving art mailed to their door and having a deeper look into my artistic journey.

3. Cutting Edge Collector- $50/Month- this is for folks who want monthly art to their door along with priority access to new work

As a little side note...Pep Talk Patrons is a nod to my parents. I'll call them when I'm facing a challenge and they're quick to offer words of encouragement. So you can expect to see this on your quarterly art cards. The perfect Pep Talk.

I hope one of these levels connects with you. My goal is to have greater engagement with my audience and foster a sense of community all while having the financial backing to pursue some exciting artistic opportunities like outdoor festivals, workshops and exhibitions.
