"With Us" Works Bring Comfort

We spent three days in the ICU this week while my son battled rhino-enero virus, essentially the common cold. Sully was recently decanulated and therefore respiratory illnesses bring him more difficulty than the average bear. I'm happy to report he's home recuperating.
Something that brings me comfort is seeing butterflies. They bring me peace and remind me of my grandmother, we called her Gran. A quick collection of things that remind me of her most? Coke floats and Game Show Network. Hammocks and hot cakes. A listening ear and a rocking chair. She loved babies. I know she would have loved my own had she had the chance.
Let's take it back to a month ago when my own mother dropped what she was doing to be by my side as we had some overwhelming news. She drove an hour and half to be by my side all the while spotting butterflies the whole way. Gran was with us.
As I sat in the ICU with my little one struggling to breathe, I started thinking more about a new collection of works featuring butterflies and it brought me so much comfort. My husband picked him up and I had a minute to grab a coffee and when I looked up at the hospital, large, colorful butterflies hung from the ceiling and what was once overlooked further resonated with me...she was with us.
This new series was created to bring comfort to your home. I hope you connect in some way, and maybe that is through honoring a loved one. Either way, please know that these works are infused with joy and comfort.
